New Delhi: Around 44 ministers were sworn-in Monday along with Narendra Modi who took over as 15th Prime Minister of India.Out of these 44 ministers, 23 are cabinet ministers, 10 MoS (Minister of State) with independent charge while the rest 11 are MoS.The list has following names:Prime Minister:Narendra ModiCabinet Ministers:Rajnath Singh Born on 10 July, 1951, Rajnath Singh is the national president of BJP. He is also a former Chief Minister Of Uttar Pradesh. He entered politics in 1974 and soon became Secretary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Mirzaur. In 1975, he became District President of Jana Sangh and District Coordinator of JP Movement. In 1977, he was elected as an MLA, for the first time, in UP Assembly.He was elected MLC for UP Legislative Council in 1988 and became Education Minister in 1991 in Kalyan Singh govt. During his tenure as Education Minister in UP he established some landmarks by introducing the Anti-Copying Act and Vedic Mathematics in the syllabus and correction of various portions of' history textbooks.On November 22, 1999, he became Union Surface Transport Minister. During this period he got the opportunity to initiate the NHDP (National Highway Development Programme), a dream project of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On October 28, 2000, he became Chief Minister of UP and was twice elected as MLA from Haidargarh constituency in Barabanki. In 2002, he became National General Secretary of BJP.He became the BJP National President on December 31, 2005, a post he held till December 19, 2009. In May 2009, he was elected MP from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. In 2014 elections,Rajnath Singh has been elected from Lucknow Lok Sabha constituency and is likely to get homw ministry.Arun JaitleyArun jaitley is presently the Leader of BJP in Rajya Sabha. A master strategist, Jaitley is the confidant of Modi and was a minister in Vajpayee government as well. He lost the 2014 parliamentary elections to Capt Amrinder Singh from Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency.Sushma SwarajSushma Swaraj was the Leader of Opposition in 15th Lok Sabha. She is a former Chief Minister of Delhi. She was also a minister in Vajpayee government. Nitin GadkariNitin Gadkari is the former president of BJP. He was also a minister in previous Shiv Sena-BJP govt in Maharashtra.Venkaiah NaiduVenkaiah Naidu is a former president of BJP.
