The CPI(M) leader, whose party had thrown outside support to the Congress-led UPA I government, also alleged that the Trinamool Congress had been with the Congress-led UPA II government and supported decontrol of fuel prices. He also accused the TMC supremo of flying to meeting venues, wondering “who is paying for her helicopter rides.”
“We are going by road or taking train rides to venues. We don't have so much money. We don't touch ill-gotten money,” Bhattacharjee claimed.
Observing that neither the Congress nor BJP should be voted to power in the 16th Lok Sabha, Bhattacharjee said 11 parties had been brought together on a single platform, which can run a government for the people.
