Kolkata: CPI(M) politburo member Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today dismissed claims of a Modi wave in the country as as “propaganda” by corporate entities. He also alleged that some media houses were trying to create a Modi wave.
“There is no Modi wave in the country. It is totally a corporate entity-led propaganda.
I am surprised that corporate entities can make and unmake things,” Bhattacharjee told a meet-the-press programme at the Press Club here.
He alleged that some corporate houses were giving funds to some media houses to carry on a propaganda for Modi.
Asked whether a Modi wave was visible in the state, the former chief minister said, “I have visited districts and found no such wave. Only some media houses are trying to create that wave here.”
