Women's Premier League 2024: Watch Captains Day Meet and Brief in Bengaluru
All five captains Harmanpreet Kaur, Meg Lanning, Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney and Smriti Mandhana attended the captains meet event at M Chinnaswamy Stadium ahead of the WPL 2024 season opener on Friday, February 23.
UP Warriorz's captain Alyssa Healy, Gujarat Giants' Beth Mooney and Delhi Capitals' veteran Meg Lanning with the WPL 2024 trophy at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday. Last edition's finalists Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals will clash in the season opener on Friday, February 21.

Five teams Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants will face each other twice in group stages. The group topper will directly qualify for the final while the teams finishing in number two and three position will square off in the eliminator.

Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals finished the last season as group leaders but suffered a defeat in a last-over thriller against Mumbai Indians in the final. Delhi have strengthened their squad with the signings of Annabel Sutherland, Aparna Mondal and Ashwani Kumari in the WPL 2024 auction.
