With the ICC World T20 Championship coming to an end, here is a list of bowlers who have taken maximum wickets in the tournament.
Mohammad Nabi The off-break bowler from Afghanistan tops the list of those having bagged maximum wickets in the ICC World T20 till date. Mohammad Nabi has taken 12 wickets in seven matches with the best bowling figures of 4 for 20 against Hong Kong.
Rashid Khan: With 11 wickets in 7 matches, Afghanistan’s leg break bowler Rashid Khan stands at second position in the list of maximum wickets takers in the T20 World Cup till now. The 17-year cricketer is playing in his first ICC World T20.
Ish Sodhi: England’s right-arm leg-spinner showed the magic of his turn grabbing 10 wickets in 5 matches with an average of just 12.00. His best bowling figures were 3 for 18 against New Zealand.
Mitchell Santner: This 24-year old Kiwi all-rounder took 10 wickets in 5 matches. Santner gave his best bowling performance against India on March 15 where he bagged four wickets for just 11 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan: One of the best all-rounders in international cricket, Shakib Al Hasan bowled in six innings of the seven matches he played and bagged 10 wickets. Bangladesh could not make it to the semi finals and were eliminated in the group stage of the World T20.
