India remembers Dec 16 Delhi gang rape victim Damini

The shameful date in the history of India December 16 2012 when six brutal rapists attacked an innocent, raped and dumped her. Though she fought bravely with them but could not survive the deep wounds that they had given her and left the world igniting the fire of fighting of justice in people.

The moment she dies the world woke up from a deep sleep and stopped ignoring the negligence of the judicial body.

It is not only the judicial system to be appreciated for the speedy justice that Damini has got. It is the fire that she had ignited in then hearts of millions with that incident.

These are few remarkable moments when India stood together united, helping each other and a common motive was to get the rapists hanged.

People were subjected to harshness of police, water bullets, lathi charge but they were determined to show their power and were stubborn that they will go their homes only after they are assured complete justice for the brave who died fighting for her life.

It was an instance that evoked women power and modified, upgraded the safety measures for women.
