Shirdi, Maharashtra: The world famous Sai Baba shrine at Shirdi has been receiving several hundred kilograms of gold articles from devout followers every year, but information received by an RTI activist reveals that several kilograms of gold have vanished over the years in course of melting gold articles.
RTI activist Sanjay Kale has stumbled upon information that the shrine had collected more than 300 kilograms of gold since 1922.
