Points to remember before and after cyclone
New Delhi: Following is a list of Dos and Don'ts before and after cyclone circulated by National Disaster Management Authority:Dos & Don'ts:Collectors are requested to inform the cyclone warning to all coastal villages through radio
During Cyclone:-
• Keep calm at all times and observe instructions promptly to avoid danger to person and property.
• Do not stir out when cyclone rages outside.
• Do not take shelter on trees, dilapidated houses, old houses and insecure structures.
• Do not remain on the top floors when Cyclone occurs. All doors, Windows and openings should be firmly secured and barricaded.
• Shift to a secure place if the house cannot withstand the violence of cyclone storm if the foundation and roof are not strong enough or if the house is situated in a low lying area.
• Stay as far as possible near the place of cyclone shelter so that you can rush into the cyclone shelter without being caught in the storm.
