Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus

A historic railway station of Mumbai, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus serves as headquarters of the Central Railways.
Built in 1887, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus was designed by Frederick William Stevens to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria.
Influences from Victorian Italianate Gothic Revival architecture and traditional Mughal buildings can be seen in the design of the splendid building.
While the station was originally named after the then reigning Queen, it was later renamed as Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CSTM) after India's Great famed 17th-century king in 1996.
Declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is the busiest railway station in India serving as a terminal for both long-distance trains and commuter trains of the Mumbai Suburban Railway.
