Petition in HC challenges GR on teachers
Mumbai : The Bombay High Court yesterday directed Maharashtra Government and other respondents to file replies to a petition challenging a Government Resolution which regularised services of teachers recruited between 1991 to 2000 only from
Petitioner Maharashtra Federation of University and College Teachers cites an earlier High Court judgement which ruled that the services should be regularised from date of appointment.
However, the Government Counsel submitted that the State had already filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Bombay High Court Judgement.
The Government sought two weeks to respond. The matter would be heard after four weeks.
