New Delhi, Jul 19 :A teenaged nursing student, who was trafficked from West Bengal, was today rescued from central Delhi.
The 16-year-old girl was rescued by police from G B Road after a tip off from NGO ‘Shakti Vahini' yesterday, Devesh Srivastava, Additional Commissioner of Police (Central), said.
The girl, who hails from South 24 Pargana district, belongs to a poor family and was doing a course in nursing.
“She was lured by a boy on pretext of marrying her in Delhi. But instead of marrying her, the boy sold her,” Srivastava said.
