The district administration Monday lifted the curfew after 10 a.m. in Baksa, Kokrajhar and Chirang districts. Although, there was a protest called by some students' organisations in the BTAD Monday, it did not evoke any response.
Meanwhile, protests erupted Monday in other districts like Nagaon and Dhubri, where many people and a organisation named Muslim Students Union called a protest against the violence.

"Although the BTAD remained peaceful for last three days, we are seeing protests Monday in Nagaon and Dhubri over the violence. We have deployed more forces across the state so that these protests cannot take any communal colour," said Assam Home Commissioner G.D. Tripathy.
