Srinagar: A man was abducted and later shot dead by unidentified persons in Shopian district of Kashmir, police said today.
Naseer Ahmad Mir was abducted by three gunmen from his home at Pinjoora village in Shopian last night, the family members told Police.
Twenty-five-year-old Mir's bullet-riddled body was found by local residents in the orchards of nearby Nadigam village this morning, police said.
It was not immediately known why Mir was killed by the gunmen, they said adding, police is further investigating the issue.
This is the second case in last three days as another youth was shot dead in Sopore town of north Kashmir on Sunday.
