A woman was killed after a portion of a house collapsed in the Bhiwandi area of Maharashtra's Thane district on Sunday, said civic officials. There were two other people who were injured during the incident.
The deceased was identified as a 45-year-old woman Gulshan Sagir Ansari. While the injured have been identified as Sagir Khalil Ansari, 45, and Mehtab Ansari, 30.
According to the officials, this incident took place in the Shanti Nagar area near Gausia Masjid in Bhiwandi. The fire brigade and police were present on the spot. Further details are awaited.
Earlier, in a similar incident, two women were injured while a four-year-old boy was killed as a house collapsed in suburban Kandivali on Saturday. The incident took place at K D Compound in the Lalji Pada area
Meanwhile, two people have died and two were rescued after a house collapsed in Delhi's Begumpur area in the early hours on Friday, informed Delhi Fire Service.
