Justice Tatia lauds doctors for their dedicated services

Ranchi, July 2: Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice Prakash Chandra Tatia yesterday commended the Indian Medical Association of Ranchi for volunteering its services to the calamity-hit Uttarakhand.

       

 
"This shows the humanitarian side of the doctors, rising to the occasion in the wake of the natural calamity in Kedarnath," Justice Tatia said while marking the Doctor's day here.
     
Describing the profession as noble, he acknowledged that doctors work under pressure and in difficult situations to help the community.
    
Doctors may be undergoing fear complex, but they have been discharging their duties to their fullest abilities, he said.

"There are (facing) nuisance elements and sentimental reactions (during the course of their duties), but they are carrying out their work in such difficult situations," he added.
     
Recalling Dr B C Roy on the occasion, Tatia hailed them for their dedicated service.
    
The IMA, Ranchi has set up a team of doctors ready to take a call if the administration in Uttarakhand require their services and would also donate money to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for the flood-ravaged Uttarakhand, an IMA office bearer said.
    
Dr Bharati Kashyap and B P Kashyap said Medical Protection Act has come in force in Jharkhand.
