Ludhiana (Punjab), Apr 22: A notorious gangster, who had escaped from police custody on March 6, was nabbed by a team of Ludhiana Police at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh last evening, police said.
Police Commissioner Ishwar Singh said Jatinder Singh alias Bunty was involved in 60 cases in the state.
Bunty had managed to escape from the custody of Ludhiana police on March 6 opposite the Central Jail here when he was being taken to prison, the Commissioner said.
Bunty is being brought to Ludhiana, Singh added.
