Birthday balloons explode blowing up Maruti Esteem car in Delhi
New Delhi: Two birthday balloons filled with hydrogen gas exploded inside a Maruti Esteem car on Begumpur Road in Buddh Vihar, Delhi, on Sunday.The car owner Prashant alongwith his two friends were carrying birthday items
He said, helium gas is considered safe, but normally in birthday balloons, hydrogen gas is filled as it is inexpensive.
Automobile expert Tutu Dhawan agreed with this view, adding that nowadays vehicles are closed from all sides and a minor spark can cause blast in balloons.
A report has been filed in Vijay Vihar police station and police is investigating.
