Jaipur: Assuring that there would be no pressure on the victim of the alleged Babulal Nagar rape case, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot yesterday said law would take its own course and the culprit would be punished.

“Law will take its own course...There would be no pressure on the victim,” Gehlot said in Barmer yesterday.

“I have directed Jaipur Police Commissioner to ensure an impartial probe in it,” the Chief Minister said while taking stock of preparations for the foundation stone laying ceremony of an oil refinery and petrochemical plant next week by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

Asked whether he has received Nagar's resignation letter, the Chief Minister said the letter has landed in his Jaipur office.

“Yes, the minister (Nagar) has sent his resignation...I will look into it,” Gehlot said.
