New Delhi, Nov 5: As a new controversy broke out over his unpublished blog on restructuring his team, Anna Hazare today admitted that he had thought of changing his team many times but said nothing should be inferred till he announces a final decision.
“I have thought of changing my team many times as I heard about the allegations again and again. But you cannot say anything till I announce my decision,” he said.
“I used to feel that allegations which people made against Kiran Bedi and Prashant Bhushan were true. That was why I was thinking, should I make some changes in the Team... But now I have understood that crores of rupees have been spent to tarnish our image,” he said.
Hazare, who said he will shut down his blog soon after he reaches Ralegan Siddhi, suspected that there was a conspiracy against him and his team.
Asked whether the letter posted in the website was his, Hazare said, “if there is my signature in the letter, then only you consider it as a mine. If the signature is not there, then its not mine.”
The fall-out between Hazare and Raju Parulekar, his blogger, came as the Gandhian claimed that he never ever spoke to the journalist or met him on the issue of re-structuring of Core Committee and forming a new Pan-Indian organisation with immediate effect.
Parulekar posted his version as well as an unpublished blog by Hazare in Marathi along with its English translation in the Gandhian's blog this morning, claiming that he had not uploaded an order dictated by Hazare after October 30 following a Core Committee meeting asking to hold the Core Team.
Raju Parulekar accused prominent Team Anna members of leading the Gandhian into a “blackhole” for their vested interest after Hazare took exception to his views on disbanding the Core Committee.
It all started with Hazare telling reporters in New Delhi on friday that how can Parulekar, a journalist who is the activist's official blogger, talk about disbanding Team Anna's Core Committee and that he will question him.
“I have not employed him or giving him salary. How can he say all these things. I will ask him,” Hazare said when asked about Parulekar's views.
“I have not told him anything about this. If he has written anything like that then I will take action,” he said. Parulekar responded by saying that the issue raises a question on his integrity and honour.
“I will defend myself and will prove that whatever I wrote or said was with consent of Anna Hazare. The Team Anna Arvind, Sisosida and Kiran Bedi are leading Anna toward a black hole and towards doom for their vested interests,” he told reporters.
“I will prove with documentary evidence that whatever I have said and was written on the blog had Anna's consent,” he said.
He said he was “really shattered” at the way Hazare and his team “disrespect me and tried to prove me dishonest” “Part of media called me an agent of some minister at the Centre. They laughed on me with ugly hatred. Nobody has stood by me when many of them know my honesty and integrity in media and in personal life since last 15 years,” he said.
