Chandigarh: Senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka, who had last week met the Haryana Governor here days after his transfer, today met state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

The officer spent nearly 40 minutes with Khattar this morning.

When asked to comment on this matter, Chief Minister's Media Adviser, Amit Arya said that "it was a routine meeting".

In a tweet, shortly after the meeting, Khemka wrote, "Three types of karmas we see today very well portrayed in the great epic Mahabharata, illustrated by Duryodhana, Bhishmapitamah and Arjuna."

However, the bureaucrat could not be reached to throw light on what transpired in today's meeting with the chief minister or elaborate on his latest tweet.

Yesterday, Khemka had objected to being called a "whistleblower", saying he did what was expected of him as public servant.

Days after he was handed down another transfer, the 49-year-old IAS officer in a tweet yesterday had said, "Hurt when labelled whistle-blower officer."

Known for being upright, he had also mentioned in the tweet that he was only performing his duties.

"I do what is expected of public servants. Not doing so would be misconduct," he said.

Khemka, who has been transferred to the Archaeology and Museums Department, in his tweet had said that it was his constant endeavour to perform his duty with honesty and without fear.

"Neither pro nor anti. Constantly endeavour to perform my duty with effective honesty and without fear or favour or too much red tape," he had said in his tweet on April 6.

Notably, on Friday, Ashok Khemka had met Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki here, a day after the IAS officer had described his transfer as "painful".

Away from the media glare, Khemka had met the Governor at his residence here and spent some time with him, though no detail was available as to what had transpired at the meeting.

Khemka, who shot into limelight after he questioned Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra's land deals in Haryana, also had said he "tried hard to address corruption and bring reforms in the transport department despite severe limitations and entrenched interests."

The IAS officer was moved to Archaeology and Museums Department from the post of Commissioner-Secretary Haryana Transport Department by the BJP government in the state on April 1.
