Hurriyat leader Hafizullah Mir was shot and killed in south Kashmir's Achabal area on Tuesday. The separatist leader was shot by unidentified miscreants on Tuesday morning and was shifted to a hospital in a critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Reports said that gunmen shot Mir at his home in Akingam area. Mir was released from jail last month after serving two-year detention.
