Swara Bhaskar’s open letter on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat opened the gates of vile remarks and hate comments for her on social media. The actress is being slammed left, right and centre by people including some of the popular celebrities of Bollywood. Amid the floating hatred for the actress on social media, TV actor Nakuul Mehta takes a stand for Swara Bhaskar. In his tweet, he expressed his full support to Swara Bhaskar who shared her opinion on Deepika Padukone-starrer Padmaavat.
Nakuul took to Twitter to hit back at the trolls who were targeting Swara for having an opinion. He tweeted, “Only when we are able to look at & evaluate different thoughts/values without neccesarily accepting them will we be able to progress. Nakuul Mehta has always been vocal about the things he stands for. Earlier, he plainly backed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat when it facing outrage from various religious outfits of India. He even expressed his disagreement on CBFC asking Padmaavat makers to display a ‘disclaimer’ at the beginning of the movie. He tweeted, “Statutory warning on a cigarette pack, I understand. This I don't. No place for art in my country. #Padmaavat."
On the work front, Nakuul Mehta is plays the male lead in Star Plus’s popular daily soap Ishqbaaz. His on-screen chemistry with co-star Surbhi Chandna has taken the internet by storm every now and then.
On the other hand, Swara Bhaskar will be sharing screen space with Sonam Kapoor for the third time in Veere Di Wedding. It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sumeet Vyas in important roles.
