Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma have come up with a quirky way to promote their upcoming film with the Sui Dhaaga Challenge. After Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Rajkummar Rao, actor Ranveer Singh has taken up the Sui Dhaaga Challenge.
The challenge is that one has to pass a thread through the needle-hole as fast as possible. However, Ranveer Singh’s challenge was different. The actor posted on his social media account a photo of a shot from the film and posted, “My Sui-dhaaga challenge was trying to get tickets for it on Sunday night! Congrats @yrf @maneeshsharma @sharatkatariya @varundvn @anushkasharma !im_anilmehta Lovely film and performances #suidhaagafilm”
Earlier, Rajkummar Rao posted a video where he was seen threading a needle within a few seconds. Following the success of Stree, where he essayed the character of a tailor, he enlisted Shraddha Kapoor's name to take up the challenge too.
Shah Rukh Khan spun the challenge on its head when he completed it, in his own words, in 0.000000001 seconds, albeit by using a gigantic needle and thread. To justify his props, he said, "Badi badi logo ki badi badi cheezein (big personalities use big items)."
Janhvi Kapoor, nominated by Dhadak director Shashank Khaitan, was seen undertaking the Sui Dhaaga task. The actress, accompanied by her sister Khushi, swiftly completed it, much to her surprise. She then nominated Ishaan Khatter, Warina Hussain and Aayush Sharma to take up the challenge.
A film about finding love and respect through self-reliance, Sui Dhaaga, which released on 28 September is winning audience love and box-office as well.
