Kangana Ranaut said Yes! to biopic; Bollywood Queen to play Tamil Nadu's former CM Jayalalithaa
Kangana Ranaut is one of the Bollywood actresses who is known for her dedication and hard work. Her brilliant acting performances and sartorial choices have always been escalating her fan base. Currently, our Bollywood Queen is making headlines for saying yes to her next film project. Going by the reports of Pinkvilla, Kangana will play the role of the legendary Tamil actress and politician Jayalalithaa.
This political-drama has been titled as Thalaivi and will be directed by A L Vijay. The 32-year-old actress Kangana is well known for playing challenging characters in her films. This piece of information regarding her Thalaivi venture has been shared on social media by a film critic who has confirmed that Kangana has officially signed for playing Jayalalithaa's character in the biopic of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
Speaking of Kangana's last appearance on the silver screen, she was seen in the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Released on January 25, 2019, the film was tremendously successful. Directed by Krish and Kangana Ranaut, it stars Kangana in a significant role. She played historical figure Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. The film also features Danny Denzongpa, television actress Ankita Lokhande, and Atul Kulkarni among others.
Tanu Weds Manu actress Kangana will also be seen in the upcoming movie titled Mental Hai Kya alongside Rajkummar Rao. Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, the film has been produced by Ekta Kapoor. Mental Hai Kya is scheduled to be released on May 24, 2019.
