Aamir Khan to shift in old Pali Hill residence with wife Kiran Rao and son Azad Rao
Superstar Aamir Khan is leaving his old Carter Road apartment and shifting back to his Pali Hill apartment soon. According to the recent reports, the PK actor wanted to buy two Carter Road apartments for his wife Kiran Rao and son Azad Rao in 2014. However, the project didn't turn out to be a reality since some members objected to the proposal and didn't want to be bought out. Aamir Khan then proposed to renovate his Pali Hill apartment which has now completed. The reports are now doing rounds on the internet.
A Mid-Day report reads, "His lease at Freeda One (on Carter Road) is expiring soon, and he has decided to not renew it. The idea of relocating to Marina Apartments (in Pali Hill) had been on his mind for quite some time. That's why he had ordered that the place be spruced up. With the renovation now complete, his old home is ready to welcome him back."
The renovation of his Pali Hill faced a major hurdle when BMC issued a stop work notice, citing faults in the creation of additional structure. The process was oversaw by the professors of IIT Bombay who audited the site from time to time and approved the changes.
On the work front, Aamir Khan tasted failure with his last offering Thugs of Hindustan. It failed to rake in numbers in India as well as overseas. Currently, he is prepping up for his role in Lal Singh Chaddha which is an official remake of Tom Hanks film Forrest Gump. He announced the project on his birthday in March this year.
