New Delhi: Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is still going strong as it closed the first week tally sheet with a superb collection of Rs 63.62 cr worldwide, however, its domestic account could have been more impressive if Riteish Deshmukh's ‘Lai Bhaari' wouldn't have hit alongside.

Nevertheless, the Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan starrer has cashed in good Rs 53.31 cr nett in India in its first week.

“HSKD Fri 9.02 cr, Sat 11.25 cr, Sun 13.46 cr, Mon 5.78 cr, Tue 5.23 cr, Wed 4.52 cr, Thu 4.05 cr. Total: Rs 53.31 cr nett. SUPERB!”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

Among overseas countries, USA-Canada and UAE-GCC have added the maximum amount in its collection with Rs Rs 1.74 mn dollars

“HSKD - Overseas - Week 1 total: $ 1.74 million [Rs 10.50 cr]. VERY GOOD... USA-Canada and UAE-GCC contributed more than $ 1.1 million”, confirms Adarsh.

Riteish Deshmukh's ‘Lai Bhaari' has really surprised with its box office run and mostly in Maharashtra including which, the flick has garnered Rs 17.10 cr nett in India.

“LaiBhaari Fri 3.10 cr, Sat 3.60 cr, Sun 3.85 cr, Mon 2.15 cr, Tue 1.50 cr, Wed 1.45 cr, Thu 1.45 cr. Total: Rs 17.10 cr. FAB!”, writes Adarsh.

While the new releases lowers down audience's interest in older releases, as per the latest trends, both the above flicks will give a tough competition to this week's ‘Hate Story 2', Pizza 3D and Amit Sahni Ki List.

Among them the revenge saga ‘Hate Story 2' starring Surveen Chawla, Jay Bhanushal and Sushant Singh has leading away at box office. The flick has opened to average 50-60 % occupancy all over. The horror drama ‘Pizza 3D' too had a decent start while ‘Amit Sahni Ki List' had below average beginning.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania should make over another Rs 10 cr by next week until Salman Khan's much anticipated ‘Kick' storms at box office.
