New Delhi: Its celebration time for Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan as its his special day today. Son of the megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Junior B has come a long way in his filmy career in the last 16 years.

The actor had started his Bollywood journey with director JP Dutta's 'Refugee' in the year 2000 which was also the launch-pad for Kareena Kapoor Khan. Although, the film wasn't a huge hit, but the Bachchan boy took way many accolades for his acting prowess.

Winning us over with his quick wit and unabashed honesty, Abhishek has also bowled us over several times with his acting performances. On the occasion of his 40th birthday, let's rewind back to some of the outstanding acting performances by Bachchan junior-

1- Dhoom: Referred to as India's biggest franchise till date, Dhoom had presented Abhishek in a completely different avatar altogether. He played the character of ACP Jai Dixit with suave and made it fun for us to watch the police-thief chase.

2- Bunty-Bubly: From a cop, he turned into a cop artist with extreme ease. Paired apposite Rani Mukherjee in this Shaad Ali directed, Abhishek gave his one of the most memorable performance in this Yash Raj film.

3- Bluffmaster- He took a step forward as a con-artist with this Rohit Sippy directed film. Taking cool-quotient a notch higher, he garnered appreciation from all corners and delivered one of the biggest hits of his career.

4- Guru- This movie was certainly a game changer in AB's career. Inspired by the life of Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani, Abhishek delivered his career best performance. He perfectly captured the rise, fall and struggles of a man who dreamt beyond ordinary. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the movie and especially his portrayal won critical accolades.

5. Bol Bachchan: Despite the presence of Ajay Devgn in this Rohit Shetty directorial, Abhishek stole the show. He was seen in a double role and this movie reflected that he had aced the comic timing.
