Priyanka Chopra to reunite with Vishal Bhardwaj after 7 years

Priyanka Chopra to reunite with Vishal Bhardwaj after 7 years 

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra had announced homecoming with The Sky is Pink. PeeCee has made a u-turn back to Bollywood after appearing last in Bajirao Mastani which released in 2015. Now the reports have confirmed that the Quantico actress will be collaborating with renowned filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj for another film. She has worked with the Rangoon filmmaker in Kaminey and Saat Khoon Maaf. She will working with him after a gap of 7 years. Her last film with Bhardwaj, Saat Khoon Maaf released in 2011.

Confirming the news in a media interaction, Pataakha filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj said, “Priyanka (also) wants to work with me. And we are working with each other. Hopefully, we will start the film next year.”

For the uninitiated, Vishal Bhardwaj was one of the few people who were invited at Priyanka Chopra’s house for her Roka ceremony. He was seen with renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali at the engagement party.

Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film Pataakha is based on the love-hate relationship between two sisters played by Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan. It also stars comedian Sunil Grover in important roles. PeeCee also shared the film’s teaser on her social media account.

Pataakha will release on September 28 locking horns with Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma’s Sui Dhaaga: Made in India.

Talking about the clash, Vishal Bhardwaj said, “During Haider, we had Bang Bang against us. I don’t think this matters. Audience will watch both the films. Gandhi Jayanti has been very lucky for me. Talvar also released on Gandhi Jayanti. I wanted this film also to release during Gandhi Jayanti. It’s a long weekend.”
