It won't be wrong to say so early that Akshay Kumar already has a winner in PadMan that will hit the screens on January 26. Earlier, we saw the posters, trailer and even the song, all of them were so quirky and meaningful at the same time.
After receiving a great response for all the other songs, the makers have released the third song of Akshay Kumar starrer PadMan, titled ‘Hu Ba Hu’. Composed and sung by Amit Trivedi, penned by Kausar Munir, Hu Ba Hu is about Akshay aka Lakshmikanth finding a friend in the second lead of the film Sonam Kapoor on his journey of promoting menstrual hygiene in his village. They care for each other and it is delightful how this care has been picturized throughout the song. At some point, it even looks like the two might just share a somewhat romantic bond.
Let’s check out the song here:
Helmed by R. Balki, PadMan has Sonam playing a teacher named Rhea, who teaches the innocent village man Lakshmikanth (Akshay) to talk in English. PadMan is inspired by the life of Tamil Nadu social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham, who created affordable sanitary napkins for the women of his village. Radhika Apte plays the role of Akshay’s wife in the movie.
Akshay earlier said with PadMan, about a man who develops low-cost sanitary pads, they are trying to reach out to a wider audience without looking at the commercial aspects of the movie.
