Holi is one of the most-awaited festivals of all time. From a common man to celebs, everyone waits for this time of the year to come so that they get play with colors. But, filmmaker Karan Johar has some grudge against Holi and hasn’t played Holi after the age of 10 and it's because of his friend Abhishek Bachchan.
During a special episode of India’s Next Superstars, Karan shared a childhood memory of the festival of colours, which ruined it for him forever. He said, “I fondly remember visiting Amitji’s house for Holi when I was 10-years-old. I told him why I feared the festival so much. That’s when Abhishek came inside the room, picked me up and threw me in a pool of coloured water. That was the end of my love for Holi and I haven’t played ever since.”
We all know that Karan shares a good bond with Abhishek and his sister Shweta, children of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and wife Jaya. His father Yash Johar had made several films with Big B.
Talking more about Holi, Karan revealing about an incident when he hurt himself said, “When I was seven, the kids in my colony ran behind me to put silver colour paint on me. Trying to save myself, I fell down and got hurt, and ended up in a fight with the other kids.”
On the work front, Karan Johar was last seen in Welcome to New York, that released last week. He is also producing Sridevi's daughter Janhvi's debut film Dhadak. Apart from this, he is also producing Varun Dhawan starrer Ranbhoomi and Tiger Shroff starrer Student of the Year 2.
