Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus "Baahubali" now has a book series, and if all goes well, the trilogy will be adapted to small screen.

"The plan is to make the book into a TV series... not the daily soaps that you get to see. The plan is to make a seasonal show with 10 to 13 episodes," Rajamouli told reporters at the launch of "The Rise of Sivagami", a prequel to the blockbuster "Baahubali", here on Friday.

Anand Neelakantan, who has penned "The Rise of Sivagami", is known for writing fiction books based on the Indian epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata. What about making a film on one of the books?

"His character of Ravana is fantastic. It is very inspirational. But I don't know if I will make a film on it. Apart from the books, he told me one story which is yet to be put on paper. Very intriguing and interesting story. I was quite fascinated by it. So maybe. I want to make it, but let's see," the director replied to a question asked by IANS.

What's the subject of that "intriguing story"?

"I can't reveal that now," he said.

There were multiple reports on him helming "Garuda" or a film based on Mahabharata. So, what's his next project?

"I am planning a nice family entertainer called holiday in Bhutan," he said.
