Congress spokesperson Shobha Oza lashed out at the Shivraj Singh government over its complete inefficiency towards ensuring women safety in the state.
Participating in Chunav Manch-India TV’s mega conclave on Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018, Oza alleged that there has been a significant rise in the rape and sexual harassment cases under Shivraj Singh government in Madhya Pradesh.
"Cases of rapes are rampant here in Madhya Pradesh, be it one-year-old child or 80-year-old elderly woman. Girls are safe nowhere, neither hospitals, roads, nor police stations. Only 'jungle raj' is prevalent here", Oza said.
On charges of sexual exploitation levelled by women against Minister of External Affairs MJ Akbar, Shobha Oza said that it was absolutely regrettable how the government acted against him.

Responding to a question over the rising malnutrition in the state, Chitnis said that the rates have considerably decreased in the past few years and the government is actively involved in bringing down the malnutrition rates in the state.
Accusing Shivraj Singh government over its inability to convert its schemes to actions, Oza said; "Shivraj Singh Chouhan just announces schemes, but when our government comes to power, I assure that we will work towards successful implementaton of the schemes".
However, defending the Shivraj Singh government saying that under the present government various schemes have been implemented to ensure women safety and empowerment. She stated that 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' is the mission statement of the government.
