New Delhi: Online retailer Flipkart has started taking pre-orders for this smartphone at Rs 19,499. The retailer has estimated that the release date of the Lumia 625 will be in the fifth week of August.
The Finnish smartphone manufacturer unveiled the device last month after a horde of leaks. The device comes with a 4.7-inch super-sensitive LCD display sporting a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, the company's largest to date. Nokia says the 635's display can be viewed in direct sunlight and sports super-sensitive touch technology that allows users to use it while wearing gloves.
Lumia 625 features a 4.7-inch screen, the biggest for a Lumia handse. It has a LCD display with 800x480p resolution and 201ppi pixel density. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM and Windows Phone 8 operating system. The company has included 8GB internal storage in the phone, along with microSD support up to 64GB.
The phone ships with Windows Phone 8 OS out-of-the-box and packs a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor powered by a 2000 mAh battery.
There is a 5-megapixel camera on the rear and a VGA front-facing camera. The phone will also benefit from Nokia's music store and navigation apps.
Lumia 925 also adds a new Nokia Smart Camera mode as an update to all Lumia Windows Phone 8 phones. The feature allows you to capture upto 10 images in one time which you can later edit as per your wish. It also comes with 4x digital zoom, and Carl Zeiss Tessar Lens.
However, considering its price, Lumia 625 with its mere 512MB RAM, 8GB memory and 5.0-megapixel main camera comes as a major disappointment.
Connectivity wise, the handset comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS and is backed with a 2,000 mAh battery offering 15 hours of talk time.
