New Delhi: Apple’s iPhone 7, the next phone expected from the stable of the smartphone giant, has generated a lot of buzz over its features.
The latest round of rumours suggest that the iPhone 7 may come with water and dust-proof capabilities. There is speculation that the next generation iPhone would come with a pressure sensitive home button.
According to a report in Taiwan-based DigiTimes, the home button on the iPhone 7 will reduce its thickness as Apple is working to make the device flatter. The company is also working on the rear camera bump.

Recently, reports were out that Apple had filed patents for a Liquid metal home button that could allow future iPhones to come with pressure-sensitive home buttons. It is considered that home button would change its shape when pressed but would come back to its old shape when the thumb or finger is removed.
It is expected that the future iPhones will be completely water and dust proof. Apple had also previously improved the water resistance capabilities in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, but it was much hyped.
In more news, the iPhone 7 could have a redesign and the will get rid of the gaudy antenna lines which came as a part of the iPhone 6/6S design language. It could also come with a better camera, more RAM and perhaps even a 256GB version.
Analysts have predicted that Apple may ship lesser than 200 million iPhones in 2016, which makes the first company among the top 5 smartphone makers to see a decline in shipments in 2016.
