People staged protest against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) at Jama Masjid on January 17. Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad joined them. He was released from Tihar Jail on January 16. Delhi court granted him bail directing him not to hold protest in Delhi till February 16. Chandrashekhar was accused of inciting protestors.
