Soldiers who retired prematurely are entitled to OROP: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced that Armed forces personnel who retired prematurely will also be entitled to the one rank one pension scheme.

Speaking at an inaugural function of Badrapur -Faridabad Metro line, Prime Minister said that Armed forces personnel who have taken voluntary retirement will also be entitled to OROP scheme.

Modi said, “We made a promise and we are fulfilling it. For the previous Government this OROP was about Rs. 500 crore, I went deeper into the issue and allocated Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 10,000 crore for this scheme.”
