Technical flaw in smart meters make consumers‘powerless’ on Janmashtami

Due to the negligence of the electricity department, on Wednesday, about five lakh population of the capital suffered a severe power crisis for about eight hours. Due to technical flaws in the software of smart meter, electricity connection was cut in about one lakh houses and shops.
