Boxing coach defends Vijender, says never took pills without checking

India's national boxing coach GS Sandhu came out in support of the Olympic medal winning boxer Vijender Singh amidst allegations against him in the Rs 130 crore drug haul, even as Ram Singh, another national-level boxer who is under investigation in the case, was expelled by Patiala's National Institute of Sports on Sunday. The boxer is expected to give a statement in front of the media shortly.
