In August last year, the top court had ordered demolition of twin towers and ordered refund to the home buyers, who had purchased apartments.
The demolition of 40-storey towers -- Apex and Ceyane -- is scheduled to be razed down on May 22 afternoon using up to four tonnes of explosives.
India and China have been engaged in the border face-off in eastern Ladakh for around two years now. Although disengagement started last year, the two sides are yet to complete disengagement in all friction areas.
The demolition of the Apex and Ceyane towers is scheduled for May 22 but after the Sunday test blasts, experts engaged in the job said the structures are "very solid" and they may have to use "more explosives" than what was estimated earlier to bring the buildings down.
Of the two towers -- Apex -- the taller one is 103 m and Cayene -- the smaller one is 97 metre.
Trial blasts have been approved to be conducted on Supertech twin towers in Noida. The twin towers will be fully demolished on May 22.
The test blast would be carried out at 2.30 pm on Sunday in the society in Noida’s sector 93-A, according to an advisory issued by the firm.

As per the preliminary information, four workers had climbed the old tower while others were beneath the structure. The tower suddenly gave way and crashed, causing grievous injuries to five of them.
"In compliance of the Supreme court order, Supertech has signed an agreement with Edifice Engineering for the execution of demolition of twin tower and made an advance payment to it for mobilisation of men, materials and machines to site as per this agreement," a Supertech spokesperson said.
A bench comprising Justices D.Y. Chandrachud and Bela. M. Trivedi said Supertech should do the complete refund to homebuyers, who filed the contempt petition, by February 28, and the other homebuyers who are not in court should approach it within a week.
The installation has been done authorized by the Delhi government and the Tihar administration. Through this, the business of mobile phones outside will be banned.
As many as 38 families residing in the 'B' block building have been evacuated as authorities do not want to take any chances with their safety.
A bench of Justices D Y Chandrachud and B V Nagarathna said that there is no substance in the application filed by Supertech Ltd and hence it is dismissed.
A special investigation team (SIT) probing the matter has found 26 officials of the NOIDA guilty in the case of which 20 have retired, two have died and four are still serving, the statement read.
