A bus carrying 50 passengers from Lucknow to Delhi fell into a canal early on Monday. The incident took place at the Lucknow-Agra Expressway after the driver of the bus reportedly lost control of the vehicle. As per the initial information, 29 people have died in the accident.
The driver swerved to avoid hitting the tractor but lost control of the vehicle, SHO of Bangarmau Police Station Arvind Kumar Singh said, adding that the bus was on its way to Madhubani in Bihar from Gurgaon, Haryana.
Earlier in April this year, seven people were killed, while 34 others had sustained injuries after a bus rammed into a truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
The incident took place at about 2 AM when a truck carrying pipes lost control and hit a divider. As pipes got scattered on the Expressway, a bus coming from behind overturned and hit a car from the back.
At least a dozen people were injured after dense fog led to the collision of several vehicles on the busy Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Unnao this morning, police said today.
