The charges were framed for criminal conspiracy after the court rejected the defence counsel's 'discharge application' in which the accused claimed not guilty
The Supreme Court had on April 19 ordered prosecution of Advani (89), Joshi (83), 58-year-old Bharti, and other accused for criminal conspiracy in the politically sensitive case.
The BJP leaders had moved court seeking exemption from personally appearing in court for the hearing of their role in the conspiracy to raze the Islamic structure on December 6, 1992.
The move comes after the Supreme Court gave directions for restoring the serious criminal conspiracy offence against Advani and other BJP leaders.
The special court will frame the charges after the accused appear before it in person, CBI counsel Lalit Singh said.
The saffron sanyasin went on to say: "Why should Modi ji conspire? ..God willing Advani should live for 125 years, but let me tell you, there is no conspiracy about preventing him from becoming President. "
Vedanti is one of the 13 people accused by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of conspiring to bring down the 16th century mosque at Ayodhya near here on December 6, 1992.
