Kumar Sangakkara, who was part of that team, is now back to the city almost 11 years after when he will be leading the MCC in three T20 matches and a 50-over game.
The London-based MCC will play four limited-overs matches against local teams to support international tours of Pakistan.
MCC will play the three T20Is against Lahore Qalandars, Pakistan's domestic T20 champions Northern and Multan Sultans while the 50-over game will be played against Pakistan Shaheens.
The Marylebone Cricket Club announced a 12-member squad for its upcoming tour to Pakistan.
