Ramagundam Municipal Corporation Election Result: Congress leads in one of 60 wards; counting underway

The last election in Ramagungam Municipal Corporation took place in 2020. The voting took place across 50 wards. The TRC emerged as the single largest party by amassing 18 wards.

Hyderabad:

The counting of votes across seven Municipal Corporations in Telangana has started. Voting across 414 wards in these MCs took place on February 11. The Municipal Corporations which witnessed polling include Karimnagar, Ramagundam, Nizamabad, Mahaboobnagar, Mancherial, Kothagudem and Nalgonda. Ramagungam is one of the key Municipal Corporations in Telangana. It has 60 wards. This MC falls under Peddapalli district. The last election in Ramagungam Municipal Corporation took place in 2020. The voting took place across 50 wards. The TRC emerged as the single largest party by amassing 18 wards. The Congress Party registered victory in 11 wards while the BJP garnered 6. Other and independent candidates won 15 wards. 

Besides Municipal Corporations, the counting of votes in 2,582 wards across 116 Municipalities will take place in Telangana.  

The Municipalities going to polls are: Jangaon, Station Ghanpur, Narsampet, Wardhannapet, Parkal, Dornakal, Kesamudram, Mahabubabad, Maripeda, Thorrur, Bhupalpally, Choppandandi, Huzurabad, Jammikunta, Dharmapuri, Jagtiyal, Korutla, Metpalli, Raikal, Sircilla, Vemulavada, Manthani, Peddapalli, Sulthanabad, Edulapuram, Kalluru, Madhira, Sattupalli, Wyra, Aswaraopeta, Yellandu, Adilabad, Bhainsa, Khanapur, Nirmal,Asifabad, Kagaznagar, Bellampally, Chennur, Kyathanpally, Luxettipet, Amangal, Chevella, Ibrahimpatnam, Moinabad, Shadnagar, Shankarpally, Kodangal, Parigi, Tandur, Vikarabad, Aliyabad, Muduchinthalapally, Yellampet, Armur, Bheemgal and Bodhan. 

Other Municipalities going to the polls include Banswada, Bichkunda, Kamareddy, Yellareddy, Alair, Bhongir, Chotuppal, Mothkur, Pochampally, Yadagirigutta, Huzurnagar, Kodad, Neredcheria, Suryapet, Tirumalagiri, Chandur, Chityal, Devarakonda Hakiya, Miryalguda, Nandikonda, Cherial, Dubbaka, Gajwel, Husnabad, Andole-Jogipet, Gaddapotharam, Gummadidala, Indresham, Isnapur, Jinnaram, Kohir, Narayankhed, Sadasivapet, Sangarreddy, Zaheerabad, Medak, Narsapur, Ramayampet, Thoopran, Bhoothpur, Devarakadra, Kosgi, Maddur, Makthal, Narayanapet, Alampur, Gadwal, Ieeja, Waddepalle, Amarchinta, Atmakur, Kothakota, Pebbair, Wanaparthy, Kalwakurthy, Kollapur, Nagarkurnool and Mulugu.

    About Ramagundam Municipal Corporation

    Ramagundam is one of the seven municipal corporations that participated in the Telangana Local Body Elections 2026. The city is divided into 60 wards, covering an area of 98.69 square kilometers, with an estimated population of 297,113. Out of 174,146 registered voters, 88,787 are male and 85,359 are female. Scheduled Caste communities make up 20.51% of the population, while Scheduled Tribe communities account for 1.72%.
