Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and head of X (formerly known as Twitter) said that the micro-blogging platform will soon be launching more features to make live content more engaging- and this will further help them to reach a wider audience.
When X senior security engineer Nathan McGrady asked what the worst thing about live content on the platform was, a user replied: “Discoverability”.
An X user wrote: “It’s not being pushed by the algorithm. There’s no dedicated live content tab.”
He further said that people viewing the live content are completely dependent on the performance of a tweet.
“That’s not an incredibly reliable way to discover,” he posted.
Elon Musk’s response to the users
On the rising concerns on X, the tech billionaire replied: “High priority fix”.
Another Musk follower suggested that he would love to see being able to go live with a group of users, like “host a panel discussion or debate, like StreamYard and other tools” (like Zoom and Meet).
Super chats
Super chats will also arrive for live content soon, said X.
Some X users are also raising questions about the edit button that has been taken off the live videos after the live stream is over.
An X user said, “That was a super valuable tool that makes the ‘replay’ look less appealing.”
Last week, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO said users can post movies, TV series or podcasts on the platform and earn money.
Recently, Elon Musk reportedly regained the top position in BEV (battery electric vehicle) sales in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, despite a 9 per cent (year-on-year) decline in Tesla's sales. A new report surfaced in May itself, which stated that Tesla will take the top spot in BEV sales with a 19 per cent market share in Q1.
The Counterpoint Research reported that Tesla was among the three top OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), only BYD Group achieved growth of 13 per cent (year-on-year), while both Tesla and Volkswagen experienced drops of 9 per cent and 4 per cent (year-on-year), respectively.
