New Delhi: PCB on Tuesday included the uncapped rookie spinner Yasir Shah as a replacement for the suspended Saeed Ajmal in the 19-man squad for the two test series against Australia in UAE from next week.
28 year old Shah was one of the leading wicket-takers in the domestic season last year, with 48 wickets, but had little success in one-dayers or the two Twenty20s he played on the tour of Zimbabwe three years ago.
It will a test debut for the leg spinner and chief selector Moin Khan is expecting him to deliver in place of Ajmal.
Although, it will be a tough challenge for the selectors to find a replacement of Ajmal who single handedly led the team to many victories in recent times.
Experienced batsman Younis Khan also returns to the Test squad after being dropped for the one-day series against Australia.
The first Test begins in Dubai on October 22 and the second in Abu Dhabi on October 30 and Pakistan will be led by Misbah-ul-Haq.
