The Chennai Super Kings have adapted the 'Rajinikanth' style ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) opener against Mumbai Indians on April 7. The way the 'thalaivaa' wears his shades in his blockbuster superhits, the Chennai players are instilling the same attributes as it acts as a statement for the rest of the IPL franchises in the 11th edition of the league.
The two-time champions make a return from their suspension after two years and the MS Dhoni-led CSK are hungry and determined to make an impact, starting the season by taking on the defending champions and arch-rivals Mumbai Indians.
Former Australian captain Shane Watson will be sporting the yellow cramp after playing for Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, the limited-overs format specialist will now play for the MS Dhoni-led CSK team as he touches down in Chennai to start his training.
And leading the 'thala' way is Harbhajan Singh, Murali Vijay and Dwayne Bravo. Bhajji took to twitter as the the Punjabi munda adapts the Southern style. Take a look. 'Neruuupuuddaaa CSKdaaaaaaaa #whistpodu @ChennaiIPL @DJBravo47 @mvj888'.
Thala and his army are ready for battle as they pose the classic way as one does in Chennai.
