BCCI president Anurag Thakur offered his condolences to Under-23 cricketer from Himachal Pradesh, Vikrant Kumar, who died in an accident on Wednesday.
"It is extremely sad to learn about the sudden tragic death of Vikrant. He was a very bright boy and would have definitely made HPCA and the entire state of Himachal proud," said Thakur, who is also the president of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association.
The HPCA expressed its grief through a tweet.

"My heartfelt condolence to the family and I wish them the strength to brave this difficult time. May Vikrant's soul rest in peace," he said.
Vikrant had died on Wednesday night after meeting with an accident in Una.
“He was in his car, which was involved in a head-on collision with a truck in Una. It’s a big tragedy. He has an older brother, and his father has a business,” Mohit Sood, the press secretary of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association told Wisden India.
