New Delhi, Jul 17: Buoyed by Trinamool Congress support, UPA's election managers are confident that Pranab Mukherjee will win the Presidential elections by as many as 7.2 lakh votes, leaving his rival P A Sangma far behind.
The projection of victory margin being made in UPA circles is that Sangma could get at the most 3.13 lakh votes of the total 10.98 lakh votes.
As part of last-minute consultations, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who is also UPA chairperson, has organised a lunch for MPs of UPA and supporting parties.
Members of SP, BSP, RJD, JD(S), LJP are the outside supporting parties of UPA, which have been invited for the lunch.
