New Delhi: With 26/11 Mumbai terror mastermind Hafiz Sayeed talking about the support of Pakistani establishment, BJP today said it reinforces the contention that Islamabad supports terrorists against India.

“I don't consider the statement of Hafiz Sayeed as a serious thing, rather I consider it ridiculous. The serious thing is pointing towards Pakistan which has made so many voices and slogans for their commitment to fight against terrorism.

“If after that, these type of terrorists are openly holding rallies and giving statements claiming the support of Pakistan, this is a big question mark on the integrity of Pakistan's commitment to fight terrorism and it substantiates the allegations that Pakistan supports terrorists against India,” BJP Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said.

He said Pakistan has two faces on terror and they “consistently overtly or covertly support terrorist activities against India.”

Amid growing tensions in Jammu and Kashmir, Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Saeed has pledged full support to Kashmiri separatists and said he backed ‘jihad' in the state in concert with Pakistani government and the army.

On the recent developments on Kashmir, Trivedi said “the recent developments have proved that BJP, despite so many political compulsions, cannot be compelled to compromise on any issue of national importance.”

On how the party reacts to people like Swami Agnivesh sharing the dais with separatists leaders like Yasin Malik, Trivedi said it puts a question mark on the reputation of the person concerned.

“If any famous personality of the country shares dais or tries to boost the morale of separatists, then definitely it puts a question mark on his reputation and his commitment to the cause of nation,” he said.
