New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party today strongly reacted to Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh's remark on Narendra Modi, saying it was "a dirty remark" that needs to be condemned.
Jairam Ramesh, while speaking to mediapersons, had remarked that "a guy didn't appoint eh Lokayukta for 10 years is hardly a person to speak about Lokpal. It is like Asaram talking about virginity".
BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said: "I condemn this derogatory statement given by Jairam ji. It is an example of Congress frustration and disappointment."
"They are many bills passed by Gujarat assembly now lying with Centre and they are not passing it. Modi ji raised questions and the Centre does not have any answers for that", said Javadekar.
"It shows how frustrated this government has become", he added.
